Teeth Whitening by Dr. Curotto

Tooth whitening is a common procedure, especially in the field of cosmetic dentistry. A child’s teeth  are generally whiter than the adult teeth that follow. As a person ages the adult teeth often become darker due to changes in the mineral structure of the tooth, as the enamel becomes less porous. Teeth can also become stained by bacteria, beverages like wine or coffee and smoking. Certain antibiotic medications (like tetracycline) can also cause teeth stains or a reduction in the brilliance of the enamel.

To give you whiter teeth and a dazzling smile, Dr. Curotto will use either Sinsational Smile or the KoR Whitening/Bleaching process in his practice.

Sinsational Smile

The Sinsational Smile process uses a special whitening gel in a soft silicone tray placed over your teeth. The tray allows you to keep your jaw in a comfortable position during the 20 minute procedure. The tray also keeps your lips out of the way of the LED light lamp that accelerates the whitening process. As part of your procedure, you’ll also receive a take-home maintenance pen to maintain your new brighter smile for a longer time.

KoR Whitening Deep Bleaching was developed by Dr. Rod Kurthy with the goal of being able to whiten even the most hard to whiten teeth. Teeth having a grayish color and labeled as Tetracycline stained teeth, showing enamel damage, can now be whitened with the KoR Whitening Deep Bleaching system.
